Tart Beagle Adult Female

Tart is a beautiful 2-year old female Beagle/possible Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 11, 2024 after she was picked up on State Route 555 in the Cutler Ohio area by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. Unfortunately Tart was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This little sweetheart has a white-and-black coat with brown shading on her hind quarters, rather long legs, a long tail, and an adorable tricolor Beagle/Hound face with expressive brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and extra-large brown velvet ears which frame her face. Tart has a super sweet personality. She is a very shy, scared little girl being in an unfamiliar place with so many other dogs nearby (and who could blame her for feeling frightened. When Tart looks up at you with hopeful trusting eyes, you just want to hold her close and whisper in her ear that everything will be ok .. And that she is in good hands with compassionate kennel techs and volunteers who love her already. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Emma Dahlgren for accompanying Tart for her outdoor glamour photos on a warm sunny afternoon on March 12th. Emma gave Tart extra TLC and all the time she needed to have the courage to walk on a leash with encouragement and petting from Emma. Tart snuggled up as close to her as possible in several of her photos and obviously felt safe with Emma. Tart weighs 32 lbs. She doesn't appear to have had any walking-on-a-leash experience, but she is a smart little cookie who will quickly master that new skill. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Tart will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tart, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
