Notes from Raven's wonderful foster: "Raven is a loving, loyal, clumsy, yet gentle bull in a China shop. This heartworm negative, spayed, 10 month old girl had an unfortunately isolated start to her life, and is soaking up every second of attention and affection that she possibly can. Raven is dog friendly with dogs of all ages and sizes! She is as gentle as her giant stompy paws will allow! She loves all of the hoomans too, big and small! Because of her new-found love of human and dog interaction, sweet Raven struggles with some separation anxiety, making crate training a work in progress. We have consulted with a R+ (positive reinforcement) professional dog trainer who equipped us with a hard copy of all recommendations to help encourage Raven to be a confident girl. Those recommendations will be gladly shared with her future forever family! Please understand how special she is, and also understand that she will require time and patience with her crate training. If life is super busy, and Raven would be left alone frequently, I respectfully do not feel she is a good match for you. I strongly feel a doggy sibling would help curb her anxiety as she finds comfort and guidance in her fur siblings. Raven loves a fun romp around the block and will randomly kick her heels up and gazelle hop around out of sheer joy! She has quickly learned to trust and has come so far in an incredibly short amount of time! Investing time and attention in her will be returned to you 100-fold! She is so loving, so full of joy, and deserves the BEST future after a difficult past. Please consider Raven as the next member of your family." As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
